How to Mix Fall Fashion and 1970s Style

"A LOST WEEKEND" -- Take glamour to the country with languid shapes, luxe fabrics and a hint of modern day decadence."

I'm absolutely positively in love with this editoral from net-a-porter. It perfectly blends some of my latest obessions: 70s style lengthy gowns,  Annie Hall-esque aesthetic and wide brimmed hats--- with stand-by obsessions: high-waisted trousers and mix-matched textures and patterns.

How to Mix Fall Fashion and 1970s Style

1. Maxi Dresses with long sleeves (thick hose underneath will add a layer of warmth)
2. Pair wide-brimmed felt hats with cozy vets in heavy fabrics
3. Bell sleeves + boots? A classic! In velvet? Perfect!
4. Pair any luxe fabric gown with a chunky necklace and you have 70s glam!

That and I can't get enough of the moody fall countryside, the stately home and wayward hydrangeas. It's perfection!

Have a decadent day! xo, Jolie

7 Spring Favs : Easy Must-Do's

What I love about spring is that it's flirtatious, it's peppy, and it's easy. It's energetic and exciting in a way that's rambunctious in a good way. In fact, I find myself wanting to be all of those things as well.

Flirtatious, peppy, energetic, exciting, and rambunctious!
It's May and before spring melds slowly into Summer, I always like to capture the bouncy moments of the season while I can! It's a time for peppy large arrangements of peonies (my absolute favorite spring flower) or bold arrangements with pops of brightly colored tulips! Before the summer heat creeps in, now is when I love to

1. Eat meals out on the porch
2. Take phone calls in the garden
3. Take walks immediately after spring rain has hit!
4. Change out my linens to bright colors and light textures
    - duvet cover
    - kitchen towels
    - table cloth

Because scent is a major part of spring I also love;
1. Big bouquets of fragrant flowers

2. Using really lovely floral cleaning…

Five Ways to Add Old Hollywood Glamour To Your Home:
1. Mix metals - Whoever said metals shouldn't be mixed hasn't glimpsed at the magic that happens when a room is filled with gold and silver details accompanied by mirrors and crystal. The result is a beautifully opulent room!

2. A fur (or faux fur) throw - Tossed about on a chair or couch, this room accessory makes any snuggling instantly more glamorous.  (This luxury can also be in the form of a pillow or rug.)

3.  Color Pallette - The go-to-never-fail feminine color pallette tends to be camel, ivory, and soft pink. I'm a fan of also adding small bits of blue here and there (it adds depth.)

4. Art deco lines + Plush furniture - Balance out more comfy couches and chairs with sleek, art deco pieces like tables, bar carts, coffee tables, mirrors, etc.

5. Have a bar set with alcohol, crystal glasses, and an ice bucket - What ALWAYS happens in every hold Hollywood movie? A cock…
